Perpetual Traffic Formula

Ryan Deiss has worked his way up to become one of the most respected teachers of internet marketing, and most of his valuable knowledge and insight – probably worth tens of thousands of dollars – is available in the Perpetual Traffic Formula.

Click here to visit the Perpetual Traffic Formula website.

The goal of Perpetual Traffic Formula is to teach you about the three main components of search engine optimization (SEO), and show you how to quickly and continuously drive targeted traffic to your websites via search engines – mainly Google.

In this program, you will learn about how to properly optimize your websites to rank for strategic keywords, how to quickly and easily generate high ranking backlinks even from .gov and .edu sites, and how to make sure there is enough activity on your websites to drive it higher in the search engine rankings.

(This last part – activity – was highlighted in Google’s “Caffeine Update” because the powers-that-be at the search engine realized that if a site is constantly being updated and people are leaving comments, it’s probably an “authority” site.)

I highly recommend Perpetual Traffic formula for any internet marketer – beginning, intermediate, or advanced – who wants to grow their revenues and profits.

Over my time running The New Business Blog, I’ve given a lot of advice on how to make more money online. (While I’m no Yaro Starak or John Chow, I’d like to think I have been successful enough to be taken as a reputable source.)

Without a doubt, the single most important piece of advice I’ve given is to straight up TELL your visitors what you want from them. Don’t ask. Tell!

So, on that note, I’ve decided to do a little experiment. I want to see if I can make a simple, yet stupid video go viral, simply by me TELLING everyone that’s what I want them to help me do.

The video is nothing more than me TELLING everyone who views it that I want their help in making the video go viral. Now that you’ve viewed it, help me out by embedding the video in your blog, posting it on Twitter and Facebook, voting for it on Digg and Reddit, Stumbling it, and emailing it out to your friends and family.

Think if it as taking part in a 21st century social experiment. Look at you, you little groundbreaker!

Back to the moral of the story – the reason you tell as opposed to ask is simple – you can never assume that you have been clear enough with your potential customers. If you ask, you leave room for interpretation. If you tell, room for interpretation is gone.

Look at the following two examples:

“Would you be interested in learning more about Blogging to the Bank 2010?”

“Click the following link to learn more about and purchase Blogging to the Bank 2010.”

Of the two, which one do you think is more likely to get you a sale? The first one, where I’m asking if you’d like to learn more while not giving you clear direction on what to do next, or the one where I tell you exactly what to do and what’s going to happen after you do it?

Sure, the second one might come off as a little bit pushy, but since most buyers have to be coaxed and told what to do, you’re probably doing them (and your bank account) a favor by narrowing down their options.

Ok, so, again, go back up to that video, and share it with every person under the sun in every way you know how. I want to get the video up to 50,000 hits, so make sure you do your part!

(How awesome is it going to be if I don’t fall completely flat on my face and this actually works?!?)

What are your thoughts on this post? Do you agree? Think I’m a nut? Leave your comment below!

Mass Article Creator Review

One of the best ways you can improve your ranking in the search engines and drive targeted traffic to your websites is through article marketing.

Unfortunately, article marketing can be very time consuming, especially if you write brand new submissions for each site. After all, not only will you be writing and updating your blog, but you’ll be writing and submitting unique content to each article directory.

Mass Article Creator helps you to automate the article writing process, allowing you to essentially re-write articles with just a few clicks of the mouse.

On top of that, the Mass Article Submitter software allows you to submit your newly re-written articles to ten of the top article submission sites with – as you guessed it – just a few more clicks of the mouse.

Here are some additional benefits to using Mass Article Creator:

In less than 30 seconds, create up to 1,000 articles from just one article you’ve already written, giving you tons of unique content while saving you hours of work.

It has a huge in-built synonym database for ultra quick insertion and replacement processing. This will allow your articles to come out so high quality that they’ll read like you spent hours putting them together!

This truly is more than just your typical article spinning software!

I’m still new to the software, so I’m unable to quantify how much it has helped my SEO and traffic.

However, from experience I know how much article marketing can help your site improve SEO and gain traffic, so I’m sure this product will drastically reduce the amount of time I spend writing and submitting articles, and increase the amount of traffic and SEO benefit I get from the articles.

If you’re trying to build traffic, I highly recommend you give Mass Article Creator a shot. If it doesn’t work, you can get a refund within 60 days, so there’s really nothing to lose.

What are your thoughts on article marketing? Have you used Mass Article Creator? Leave your comments below!

Mass Article Creator Review

Per FTC regulations, please be aware that if you purchase Mass Article Creator after clicking the above links, I will receive a commission. I do own this product, paid for it with my own money, and have used it as I have stated in this article.

The other day, while trying to explain the purpose of The New Business Blog (yes, it does in fact have a purpose) to my friend, I was having a tough time coming up with a basic summary.

I talked about how I write about basic entrepreneurial issues like legal entities, business bank accounts, etc., but I also write about things that are pretty specific to online marketing, like social media and how to choose the right affiliate programs.

Invariably, I had to explain each referenced subtopic as well, which left both my friend and me frustrated and out of breath. At this point, my friend, who was tired of hearing me go on and on, said, “Just give me your site’s elevator speech.”

An “elevator speech” is a quick 30 to 60 second summary of what it is your site or business is about. As you’ve already guessed, an “elevator speech” is what you would say to someone if you were riding an elevator with them.

Obviously, you’re going to be talking in very high level terms here, so you’ll want to focus on the broad aspects of what your site or business does. If you start getting down into nitty-gritty of your site, you’ll very quickly find that your 30 second speech has turned into a three minute ramble.

After taking a minute to think, I came up with the following elevator speech for this site:

“The New Business Blog is a website and resource for anyone interested in starting their own business, in particular, an internet based business. In my writings I cover basic entrepreneurial topics like how to legally start a business, but mostly focus on topics that are a little more relevant to online marketers, like how to get more targeted visitors to their websites, or how to convert that traffic into revenue for their business.”

What’s your site’s or business’ elevator speech? Leave it in the comment section below.

Mesothelioma TV Ads

Over the past month, while watching TV I’ve seen probably 25 commercials from three or four different law firms advertising their services for people suffering from Mesothelioma. After seeing a couple different commercials and not really knowing anything about Mesothelioma, or why anyone afflicted with it might need a lawyer, I decided to do a little bit of research.

Without getting into too much detail, Mesothelioma is a type of cancer which, in most cases, is brought about by long-term exposure to asbestos. Asbestos is a material that was used in brake pads, pipe insulation, drywall, and various other products before being essentially outlawed in the late 1980’s.

(Before I continue, please understand that I am not trying to make light of Mesothelioma in any way; I am merely using law firms’ advertisements as an example of niche marketing.)

Considering the number of people afflicted with Mesothelioma is very small in comparison to the amount of people watching TV at the time any of the law firm’s ads appear, one would think these firms have set themselves up to lose a lot of money. After all, getting a commercial played during prime-time TV certainly isn’t an inexpensive endeavor.

However, not only do these firms not lose money, but apparently they stand to make a small fortune on settlements and litigation.

In essence, what these law firms are doing is akin to what you or I might do for one of our niche sites. While our site likely will not appeal to everyone on the internet at any given moment, there are enough people out there who are looking for the information or product that we provide that it makes our site worthwhile and profitable.

So, these Mesothilioma lawyer ads are a perfect illustration of what I stated in a previous post: somewhere someone is looking for exactly what you have to offer.

In case you haven’t heard, Google has finally taken steps to ban advertisers who promote links to “scam sites.” These types of sites and offers include crazy get-rich-quick schemes, teeth whiteners and weight loss products.

Previously, Google would simply take down an advertisement if it pointed to a sketchy site or violated any terms and conditions, in essence banning the advertisement, not the advertiser.

Obviously, this is pretty huge news, as Google is critically important to any internet marketer, and is more than likely the marketer’s largest source of traffic.

Aside from being news worthy, Google’s actions illustrate an even larger point for those of us who are internet marketers: you have to focus on running a legitimate business.

Unfortunately, too many internet marketers have become modern day snake oil salesmen. They pitch products they know nothing about, or worse, that they know won’t live up to their outrageous claims, and try to scam as many people as possible in order to money. Once one well runs dry, they simply pick up and move on to the next bogus product or niche.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to say affiliate marketing is wrong or immoral. In fact, I do a fair amount of it myself, and I think I’m a pretty ethical person.

The difference between a legitimate affiliate marketer and your run of the mill scam artist is a legitimate marketer qualifies the products they promote, provides honest and unbiased reviews, and the money is secondary; a scam artist makes outrageous claims about products they’ve likely never touched or used simply to make a quick sale.

So, if you’re running an online business promoting your own or someone else’s products, make sure you’re doing it the right way, or you too may face a Google ban, or possibly something even worse.

Today’s post is the final of a three post series which will help you improve your conversions on Twitter. Click the following links to read the first post (Tweeting in blocks) and the second post (hide the good stuff) if you haven’t already done so or would simply like a refresher.

Now that you’ve learned to Tweet in blocks and how to structure those blocks to help you gain credibility, you’re about to learn what might be the most important Twitter lesson of all: what time of the day to send out your blocks of Tweets.

TIP #3 – SEND YOUR TWEETS OUT WHEN MOST PEOPLE CAN TAKE ACTION

Don’t get me wrong, it’s important to send out Tweets all throughout the day, however, if you’re trying to get people to take action – whether it’s sign up for your email list or buy a product through your affiliate link – there are certain times of the day that are statistically proven to produce better results. Based on my experience, here are the blocks of time with which you will see a better click-thru ratio:

11 am to 1 pm Eastern Time

8 pm to 11 pm Eastern Time

Sure, you’ll still see clicks outside these times, but I guarantee you it won’t be anything to write home about. There will either be too few people online, or your followers will be preoccupied with other things.

During the 11 am to 1 pm timeframe you’ll be catching people on their lunch break. While you’re likely to see an increase in clicks during this time, since many people are still at work, you’re probably not going to see a gigantic spike in “action,” meaning don’t expect to make a ton of affiliate sales in the middle of the day.

However, during the 8 pm to 11 pm timeframe, not only will you see a jump in clicks, but you should also see a dramatic spike in action taken. This is because not only have most users had dinner and put the kids to bed, but they’ll feel far more comfortable signing up for your email list or buying a product from their home computer.

So, to sum it all up – to dramatically improve your marketing and conversions on Twitter, do the following:

Tweet in bunches of 10 to 12, spaced 45 second to 1 minute apart

Send out 1 link for every 2 non-link Tweets

Focus your efforts between 11 am to 1 pm, and 8 pm to 11 pm

By following these tips, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised in how much you can get out of Twitter.

Today’s post is the second in a three post series aimed at showing you how to get more out of Twitter with far less effort. Click the following link to read the first post, which was about Tweeting in blocks.

Now that you know about Tweeting in blocks and why it’s guaranteed to increase your visibility, you need to know how to structure these blocks so that your followers are more likely to click on your links and come to your blog or affiliate site.

TIP #2 – SEND 2 “NON-LINK” TWEETS FOR EVERY “LINKED” TWEET

When sending out your Tweets, you can’t include a link to your site or affiliate offer every single time. If you do this, you’ll either be flagged as a spammer or your followers will simply learn to tune you out.

What I’ve found to be effective is to send out one Tweet that includes a link to one of my sites or affiliate offers for every two Tweets I send out that are nothing but words. You can increase your conversions further by taking this a step further and set up your followers with your “worded” Tweets. Here’s an example:

Tweet 1: I feel like I’ve been on Twitter all day!

Tweet 2: What’s your best Twitter tip in 140 characters or less?

Tweet 3: How to quickly and easily add 100s of followers on Twitter http://tinyurl.com/nuwwuc

By following this pattern, not only will you get lots of screen time in front of your followers, but, more importantly, you’ll gain credibility. At the very least you won’t come across as a spammer, but if you play your cards right, you’ll come across as a trusted source who posts relevant content and links, which is critical in improve your conversions.

One of the main reasons I’ve been able to quickly and continuously grow traffic to my websites – both my blogs and my affiliate sites – is I’ve become a much better and efficient Twitter user. It took a lot of time and experimenting, but I’ve come up with three very important tips to help you get more traffic to your websites from Twitter.

Over the next three days, you will be able to read about each of the tips, implement the them, and start to see immediate results!

TIP #1 – TWEET IN BLOCKS OF 10 to 12

As I’m sure you’re well aware, you’re not the only person your Twitter followers are following. Unfortunately, this means you have to compete for attention with likely thousands – if not tens of thousands – of other people at any given moment.

I’ve found the easiest way to ensure you grab your followers’ attention is to send out Tweets in blocks of 10 to 12, spacing each Tweet roughly 45 seconds to 1 minute apart.

By sending out this block of Tweets, you’re pretty much guaranteed to take up some real estate on your follower’s Twitter feed, however, because you’ve given adequate time between each of your Tweets, you’re not being obnoxious about it.

Services like Tweet Adder and Social Oomph will allow you to quickly set up these blocks of Tweets in advance, so if you’d like, you could knock out an entire day’s worth of Tweeting in just a few minutes. Plus, you won’t have to sit in front of your computer all day waiting to send out your Tweets.

Tomorrow, I will tell you how to structure these blocks of Tweets to make sure your readers not only don’t tune you out, but actually click on your links.

Sponsored Tweets Review

One of the biggest complaints I’ve heard from people regarding Twitter is the fact that it’s difficult to monetize your following. This can be incredibly frustrating, especially if you have spent a lot of time building a quality list of followers.

Thankfully it looks as if there’s finally a legitimate way to make money from all of your time and effort on Twitter: Sponsored Tweets.

Sponsored Tweets is a simple way for you to monetize your Twitter account, because all you have to so is sign up for your free account and they will go ahead and match you up with advertisers who pay you to send out their Tweets.

Easy enough, right?

Obviously there are a lot of factors that come into play regarding how much you will be paid for each Tweet you send, but it appears that there are two key factors that come into play: the number of followers you have and the influence you have over them, meaning how often do your followers click your links.

When you go to sign up with Sponsored Tweets, the only thing that’s required for your acceptance is that your Twitter account be at least 120 days old. That’s really it; like I said, it’s really simple and easy.

You have nothing to lose by signing up for Sponsored Tweets. If you automate your account – which means you allow Sponsored Tweets to access your Twitter account and automatically post Tweets for you – you really are getting paid to do nothing!

Even if you make just a few dollars per Tweet, over time that’s going to add up to a lot of free money for you! If you keep growing your following base, you’ll keep making more money from your Tweets.

So go ahead, sign up and give Sponsored Tweets a shot.

Have any other ideas on how to monetize your Twitter account? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
