<description>2 years ago, I journaled until my fingers fell off. My mission, out of that journaling, is to create connections and enhance relationships through stories. Great mission, but how to implement? (My mission previous was Brainstorm, Research and Repeat -- How to Keep Implementation at Bay.)

I came up with a personalized children’s book. I researched printing options, wrote a business plan, worked with Women Venture – a nonprofit organization helping women, found an illustrator, wrote the book, designed, produced and published the book, and created my website. www.MemoirOfMe.com. Memoir Of Me has been my adventure and as my son says, “Even if we don’t make any money mom, it’s been worth the journey. We’ve learned a lot from this.”

My personalized book is different from any other because it features the relationship between the adult and the child. My book captures the relationship truth through the adult write a letter to the child. The letter is then weaved through my fictional, illustrated story that the child and the adult become the main characters.

I believe my book is truly intimate and it completes my mission “Creating Connections and Enhancing Relationships through Stories.” Besides completing my mission, I do enjoy pop tarts and avoid brown rice, like it seems you eat a lot of for lunch.
